Pacific Northwest Engagement Session
The hike out to Mirror Lake was absolutely beautiful. The lush forest floor and sky-high pine trees would be perfect on their own but the perfectly still lake took everything to the next level. With views of Mt. Hood in the distance, this location was nothing short of a dream.
After a bit of rain, we took advantage of the break to snap some portraits with the wet forest surrounding us. Apparently the sky got the hint that we needed a break from the rain because it fully opened up after that and let the sun shine through. It honestly was perfect.
After capturing all the photos we could around Mirror Lake, we took to the city of Portland to capture a few shots in a more urban environment. When we arrived at the St. Johns Bridge, it was clear that we weren’t the only ones with this bright idea. This popular photo spot was being utilized for a stunning wedding ceremony, which we were able to admire amidst our own photoshoot. Definitely recommend checking out this spot for your next photo adventure, it is grandiose in all the best ways.
Wrapping up our engagement photoshoot together, we grabbed some drinks and bites to eat at Steeplejack Brewing Company, located in the Sullivan’s Gulch neighborhood on the Northeast side of Portland. This is also a must-see - set in an old church, this brewery is a super fun location to hang with friends and get some great photos along the way.
